“I met Dr. Ritch while I was exploring options for severe fibroids. I had already had an open myomectomy in the past, removing 7 large fibroids, and it wasn't a great experience. I was determined to do everything I could to avoid another round of open abdominal surgery so I met with 3 surgeons and 2 interventional radiologists about options. Preserving fertility was a consideration but my symptoms were so bad I was considering having a hysterectomy and pursuing motherhood in some other way.
